A Grandparents Wisdom? - Causing sickness

My grandma doesn't like to touch my Grandpa. She's afraid that his stroke will rub off on her. She says she is just kidding but in the 10 years or so since his stroke she really hasn't changed, so I think that she really believes this.

When Willow was sick the other week my Grandma asked, do you think she might have picked something up from the cats?

A Grandparents Wisdom? - Playing and Toys

My grandmother (who is 96 and likes to remind me of that every time we talk) gave us some advice on letting Willow play.

"You should train that baby to play in a playpen. That way you don't have the toys all over the house."

I always either tell her "That's a good idea" or "We'll have to think about that." because I don't want her to think I don't appreciate her advice.

I would never have Willow playing exclusively in a playpen. I think she should be able to explore her world and even though it means more supervision, I don't mind!! I love to see her discover new things and I surely don't mind picking up her toys!! Read more!

A Grandparents Wisdom? - Making a baby

So growing up my Grandma talked about how when she got married she thought that every time you had sex you made a different part of the baby.

She was very upset when she got pregnant on the honeymoon.

I'm not sure how many parts she thought a baby had, that you had to make. My Grandma liked to say "Well we didn't know better back then."
