Reading to Willow - I Love You Through and Through
What Daddy thinks:
A short colorful book that demonstrates opposites. Happy, sad; fingers, toes; topside, bottom side. You get the idea. I like it because it tells Willow how I love every part of her.
I don’t like this book. Physically. I always get paper cuts from the pages when Willow pulls the book out of my hands. It's not quite a board book but the pages are a heavy paper, like card stock.
What Mommy thinks:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book, it is one of my favorites. I don't know what David is talking about with the paper cuts. The pages are actually kind of like cardboard or thicker and I have never had a problem with paper cuts. I love having her sit in my lap and pointing out all her parts as they are mentioned. She giggles and makes noises every time (in delight, of course). And I like that the cover is soft. Not as in touch but it is padded.
What Willow thinks:
Willow loves this book. It is her current favorite for Mommy to read. She smiles and grabs for it. Yes, she also tries to eat the book but mostly she grabs for the pages. It might be the picture of the baby in the book but she smiles and makes noises at every page. She especially likes it when you point out the things on her that are being mentioned in the book. For example, we touch her fingers, or toes, or ears when they are mentioned and she loves it even going so far as to turn her head toward us when it comes time to touch her nose.
