My job keeps me away from home an average of four days a week. I like this because it gives me time to myself and gives my wife time to herself.
Yeah kids change that. I know it’s harder on my wife now because there is no one to give her a hand or let her take a break when I’m gone. I try to give her a break when I’m home but she usually would rather be with me then go off on her own. I guess that says something good about me.
Sure I’ll end up missing things that my daughter does in the future. But even if I was home every night I’d still miss out on the things she does during the day. So instead of hoping to be there for every first I try and make the most of my time spent at home.
