I just wanted to take a few minutes to say a big THANK YOU to my readers and all the people that have helped to make Mommy Vomitpants what it is today!
In the short time that it has been in business (3.5 months) I have over 200 posts filled with information for parents (especially me). It just feels like the time to acknowledge the people that have made this website possible.
I literally get comments from people all over the world and I am so very appreciative to everyone who takes the time to read what I write in here. I also love to see when people search for things like "Sterilization", "Temperature and Fever", and the "BRAT" diet using Google and click on Mommy Vomitpants for information (hopefully in part due to the catchy name)! Please use the search function if you are looking for something! It is very powerful and there's a good chance you will find something you are looking for if it's not apparent in the labels. (And heck, if you can't find what you are looking for I am always open to suggestions for content!!)
I work very hard to give good, well researched information. I try to link to organizations that are talked about in the articles I read as well as places like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Dental Association (just to name a few) because I think that the information I provide should come from the experts whenever possible. It literally takes me an average of at least 1.5 hours to put together a post.
Most of all, I want to thank my friend Amanda Robbins who designed the website and came up with the "Mommy Mascot" that you see in the header. Please contact her if you have need of a graphic designer. She really is the best and very easy to work with. This site would be a lot less "pretty" if it wasn't for her and for that I am so very grateful.
I am just so happy with how wonderfully this website turned out (I really love the way it looks) and I want you to know that I enjoy working on it every day. I think I FINALLY have a format I am going to stick with for a while. (I even like how the Google ad's turned out.)
Lastly I want to thank my husband David and, the inspiration for the whole thing, my daughter Willow. Their patience and understanding as I have been working on this means so much to me.
Hopefully, one day, this blog will turn into something that I can count on for an income. But even if it never does, I still love working on it. I hope you continue to read and comment!! I look forward to reading everyone's opinion (when they have one)!!
