Reading to Willow - Peek-a-Zoo

What Daddy thinks:
Peek-a-Zoo isn’t really a story book. It is a book of pictures that have different colors and textures. Clouds, squares, circles, stars, animals. You get the idea.

If kids learn by being exposed to lots of different objects and textures then Peek-a-Zoo fits the bill.

What Mommy thinks:
I like this book a lot. Willow is at a stage where she loves textures and this book has a lot of them. I like to make noises for the stuff she is looking at like the cat (meow) or the car (beep beep) and she likes that (of course). I actually want to get more of these since there is such a good variety of shapes, textures and bright colors.

What Willow thinks:
Willow also likes this one. She doesn’t really touch the things she is supposed to but it keeps her entertained anyway. There is one page with a bush that has a bunny hiding behind it. You pull down the bush and get to see the bunny. Guess which page Willow likes the best? We have to skip this page because she ONLY looks at the bush and grabs it and tries to put it in her mouth. If you pull the book away from her she won’t let go. I’m surprised she hasn’t ripped it off yet. There are a few pages with a mirrored object. She will try and kiss/eat the baby in the mirror.
