A Dad's Perspective - Men and Women

I hate shopping. I hate going to stores when they are crowded. So it would follow that I love online shopping. Yeah but I still don’t like spending money. The last time I bought clothes (other than work uniform) was in college. Since then, maybe a few pants or shirts.

So it drives me crazy when my wife comes home with new clothes for my daughter every week. Now I know that she is growing and is quickly growing too big for her clothes. But there has to be a limit. When we took out all of her 0-3 month clothes because they were too small, I found clothes and socks she never wore! She currently has something like 40 outfits for her size. My wife didn’t believe me when I told her this. Yeah I must have miscounted. So I told her to cycle through the clothes, to ensure everything gets worn at least once. It’s been a month and we are still not through the clothes for the first time. I think this might have surprised my wife.

Hopefully as my daughter grows we’ll have a more manageable amount of clothes for her. Which leaves me with the question, how many times should one expect to wear something before you out grow it? Twice? Four times? More? I don’t know. Wish me luck.
