What Daddy thinks:
Another great book. The pictures tell the story just effectively as the words. The little lamb Woolly can't find his mother to tuck him in. A progression of animals give it a shot. They tuck in the sheets, give him hugs, kisses, food, etc. Don't worry, his mom shows up in the end. If I have to pick a bit to complain about it is this; why do you need to eat before bed? Okay so Willow gets a bottle before she goes to sleep but in the book Woolly eats a meal, in bed.
What Mommy thinks:
I like this book because every one of the animals tries to do one of the things that Woolly's mother does. One gives him a hug, one sings, one gives him a bath. But none of it is "right" as far as Woolly is concerned because although they are trying to help, none of the other animal mothers is his mother.
What Willow thinks:
Willow really likes this book. The cadence of the words relaxes her. The pictures are busy and I can see her eyes dart around as she tries to take it all in. Willow really likes it when we have different voices for each animal.
