Willow is 10.5 months old and right on track for walking. I was reading my weekly update on her development from Baby Center (you can sign your baby up here if you'd like to). I really credit her being at daycare for her walking. Riley is a month and a half older than Willow and is walking. I think that since Willow is wanting to keep up with her, she is walking before she otherwise would have been. But then I could be wrong. I'll never know. They just grow up so fast!! I can't believe she will be a year old so soon!
According to the website: "At this age, your baby can sit confidently and may even walk while holding onto furniture, possibly letting go momentarily and standing without support. She'll take steps when held in a walking position and may attempt to scoop up a toy while she's standing, too.
"Those magical first steps toward independence — and lots more exercise for you! — are just around the corner, if they haven't arrived already. Most babies take their first steps sometime around 12 months, but some start much earlier. If yours isn't walking yet, don't worry — it's still early. Some babies wait until they're 18 months old to make that move."
Typically when you think about walking while holding onto furniture, you picture them "cruising" along a table (at least that's what I normally picture). Not Willow.
